We operate within the Logistics industry, one of the largest and fastest growing sectors in the world which is currently projected to be worth $15.5 Trillion by 2023.  There are two distinct parts to our business:

• Logistics Services – which includes the movement of Mail, Parcels, Pallets, Part & Full Loads, by Road, Air and Sea throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide
• Technology Solutions – we’ve built a platform that improves business process principally around Inventory Management, Order Processing and Multi Carrier Shipping

As we embark on the next stage of our growth, we now seek to appoint ambitious, passionate and talented Senior Developers to join our R&D Team.

Our Opportunity

Due to further growth within our business we now seek a Senior Developer to join our highly engaged team. You will bring a wealth of experience gained within a similar fast-moving Development Team, and willl play a significant role within our company to:

• Lead, mentor and develop the team
• Deliver functional code that meets the requirements of the business and our customers
• Test code produced by other developers in the team
• Contribute to team and process continuous improvements
• Respond to support and bug fixing activities which are shared across the team
• Lead software development through the SDLC
• As the business grows, there may be further opportunities to develop your leadership skills

About You

You should have a strong academic background, with either a First or Upper Second Class Degree in Computer Science or Software Development. Combined with significant experience within a similar environment. Experience of modern enterprise system technologies including Web services, Micro Services, Object-relational mapping, Continuous Integration and Development, Automated Build, Test and other Quality Tools are advantageous. You should have a passion for Development be a team player and be excited by the opportunity to develop your career in a forward thinking, supportive and cutting-edge environment.
