Reporting To - Head of Sales

Location - Derby - Logistics

To manage profitably and retain CCL customers on a regional basis. The role will require strong customer service and communication skills and be able to work with clients across multiple roles, form board to warehouse teams. The role will represent CCL professionally at all times and ensure that our new customers have a ‘best in class’ on-boarding and customer service experience, “delivering happiness” Be able manage the clients experience and expectations of the CCL Way, and to continually review customers warehouse/operational environments and align CCL solutions to demonstrate cost/service improvements. Have experience across multiple services, from parcels, freight forwarding, 3PL’s, International, full loads, pallets, same day, sea fright.

Who We Are

In the last 3 years CCL has grown by over 40% and we continue to grow at pace, both organically and through acquisition. We now have branches in Troon, Bellshill, Derby and Aylesbury, with further expansion planned.

We operate within the Logistics industry, one of the largest and fastest growing sectors in the world which is currently projected to be worth $15.5 Trillion by 2023.  There are two distinct parts to our business:

  • Logistics Services – which includes the movement of Mail, Parcels, Pallets, Part & Full Loads, by Road, Air and Sea throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide
  • Technology Solutions – we’ve built a platform that improves business process principally around Inventory Management, Order Processing and Multi Carrier Shipping

As we embark on the next stage of our growth, we now seek to appoint an ambitious Multimodal Freight Forwarder to join our Operations Team.

Accountabilities

As a Regional Account Manager, your main accountabilities will be to:

  • Demonstrate strong communication and management skills
  • Develop a strong and profitable customer base across key sectors/verticals
  • Deliver growth and profit targets across all CCL propositions within existing customers, continually exploring new income opportunities
  • Deliver growth and margin targets, in line with personal and company forecasts
  • Work constructively and proactively with all CCL locations and colleagues
  • Report and manage robust customer growth forecasts and budgets
  • Support product/proposition/partner development

Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities

The main tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Deliver retention and profitable growth from our existing customers in line with personal and business targets
  • Achieve profit margins in line with personal and business targets
  • Maximising share of wallet
  • Embedding our technology
  • Understand how to review/analyse existing customers warehouse & operating environments and establish where CCL can add value and drive customer and cost benefits
  • Work with closely with all CCL colleagues to identify and on-board quality income
  • Updating and managing all reporting tools, such as CRM
  • Ensure smooth on-boarding for new business customers
  • Support retention successful on-boarding of new customers, where required
  • Collate market intel and report back on competitor activity
  • Continually looking for new market opportunities for CCL products and services

  • Domestic and International B-C/B-B carrier, freight,3PL, pallet, freight forwarding, 4PL experience

  • For customers to trust and respect you

 

Desirable skills required

  • Experienced in managing sales reporting platforms such as CRM
  • Experienced in presenting to senior management teams and leadership teams
  • An understanding of carrier management platforms/multi carrier platforms, supply-chain technology
