In the last 3 years CCL has grown by over 40% and we continue to grow at pace, both organically and through acquisition. We now have branches in Troon, Bellshill, Derby and Aylesbury, with further expansion planned.

We operate within the Logistics industry, one of the largest and fastest growing sectors in the world which is currently projected to be worth $15.5 Trillion by 2023.  There are two distinct parts to our business:

• Logistics Services – which includes the movement of Mail, Parcels, Pallets, Part & Full Loads, by Road, Air and Sea throughout the UK, Europe and Worldwide
• Technology Solutions – we’ve built a platform that improves business process principally around Inventory Management, Order Processing and Multi Carrier Shipping

As we embark on the next stage of our growth, we now seek to appoint an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

As a Financial Analyst, your key responsibilities will include:

• Provision of weekly and monthly management information to assist in measuring and analysing business performance, eg sales reports and return on investment reports.
• Provide ad-hoc commercial and analytical support to our Branches, including analysing costs of materials, inventory, people, overheads, operating variances, product pricing and profitability.
• Lead and manage the production of department scorecards.
• Act as the grant claim project manager for significant software research and development project.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as defined by your Line Manager or appointed Deputy. 

Essential skills required:

• Qualified CA or CIMA or equivalent
• Track record in a financial analyst’s role
• Problem solving skills
• Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines with accurate and detailed results
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral, for effective interaction with all levels
• Strong project management and process improvement skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical skills combined with good business judgement
• Highly motivated with energetic personality

Desirable skills required:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience of working in a software development and software product environment
