Purpose of the Role

At CCL Export Packing, our range of professional packing services combined with our logistics capabilities gives us the flexibility to manage any shipment.

We manage our customers end to end supply chain from specialist export packing, case making, on or off-site packing solutions to onward shipping. Whether items are being sent via road, air or sea we will provide the perfect solution to ensure the customers goods are fully secured. 

Based at the CCL Export Packing site in Melbourne, the Internal Sales Manager will gather all the necessary customer information and convert this into a meaningful value proposition. Displaying a positive `can-do’ attitude and reflecting the professionalism and ethos of the business at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Speaking to customers and prospects by telephone, and occasionally in person, to understand their requirements and promote our capabilities to provide high quality, cost effective and bespoke packing and case making solutions
• Develop long term sustainable relationships with customer to ensure CCL Export Packing are the suppliers of choice
• Work in partnership with our customers to provide technical assistance to meet their case making and export packing needs
• Interpret drawings and specifications, qualifying and costing the bill of materials required for each job
• Support the customer in the design of custom-made packaging solutions
• Ensure customers’ needs are met in respect of technical requirements, quality, price and delivery
• Prepare customer quotations in an accurate, efficient and timely manner to ensure we are successfully winning quotes

• Manage the quote pipeline ensuring following up on outstanding quotes for customers and prospects

• Provide pre and post sales technical advice to customers
• Work with the General Manager to ensure product quality and on-time delivery
• Proactively communicate and work to resolve delivery problems with the customer
• Preparing method statements and risk assessments as required for customers

Essential Skills and Experience

• Excellent communication and people skills
• A positive, `can-do’ attitude and approach
• Good team player but with the ability to work autonomously
• Computer literate and technology bias
• Confidence, patience and determination
• Valid UK driving licence

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience/knowledge of the industry (Though full training will be provided)
• Project Management Experience
• Estimating Experience
• A Level or equivalent in relevant subjects
