Purpose of the Role

The Sales Estimator role is a key interface in the customer engagement process. Based at the CCL Export Packing site in Derby, the Sales Estimator will gather all the necessary customer information and convert this into a meaningful value proposition. Displaying a positive `can-do’ attitude and reflecting the professionalism and ethos of the business at all times.

Main Tasks and Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate quotations efficiently and in a timely manner
• Analysis of drawings and specifications including quantifying and costing the bill of materials required for each job
• Manage the quote pipeline ensuring following up on outstanding quotes for customers and prospects
• Maintaining systems and effective ways of working
• Regular internal liaison with Operations, Engineering, Product and Sales teams
• External liaison with Customers, Prospects and Suppliers

CCL Export Packing are specialist in Export packing solutions for air, sea and road freight/ bespoke packing cases/ Highly fragile, shock sensitive and temperature controlled/ handling goods of any size and shape/ onward shipping solutions (air, sea and road)

Essential skills required

• Excellent communication and people skills
• A positive,`can-do’ attitude and approach
• Good team player but with the ability to work autonomously
• Computer literate and technology bias
• Confidence, patience and determination
• Valid UK driving licence

Desirable skills required

• Experience/knowledge of the industry (Though full training will be provided)
• Project Management Experience
• Estimating Experience
• A Level or equivalent in relevant subjects
