INSTANT ACCESS TO YOUR EMISSIONS DATA
Simply log in to myCCL to view your carbon emissions, with data appearing on the platform for all shipments immediately after proof of delivery.
Measuring your Scope 3 emissions is essential to understanding the full extent of your carbon footprint.
With complex supply chains involving thousands of shipments, and multiple countries, logistics providers and modes of transport, it quickly becomes a big data challenge.
Using myCCL means all your logistics data is in one place, allowing the embedded carbon tracker to calculate the transportation and distribution emissions for your end-to-end supply chain. With GLEC accreditation, our solution has met the global methodology set by the Global Logistics Emissions Council (GLEC). This is a programme set by the Smart Freight Centre, with the aim of harmonising the calculation and reporting of logistics GHG emissions. Along with the GLEC framework our calculations are aligned with ISO 14083:2023.
A single source for all your emissions data, Greener Routes helps you measure, manage and minimise your supply chain emissions.
Are from sources directly owned or controlled by the reporting company, for example burning fuel in company vehicles or using gas to heat facilities.
Are from the energy purchased and used by the reporting company. Usually this means electricity purchased from the grid but can include any heat or steam purchased.
Are everything else, or indirect emissions from the value chain. This includes emissions like, business travel, purchased goods and services and the transport and distribution of goods and materials – the focus of CCL’s efforts to help its customers.
Scope 3 emissions come from several sources even within the same value chain.
In transport and logistics, a package can be picked up by an independent courier, taken to a distribution centre, then trunked by an artic lorry to another distribution centre and then finally in a van to the delivery destination. As you can see this involves a number of data points, such as the fuel used, the distance travelled, the weight of the package, utilisation of the vehicle etc. These data points can come from several different sources. Now imagine thousands of packages moving every day, adding in air and sea freight and the scale of the task can be insurmountable.
CCL has solved this issue with its Greener Routes Carbon Calculator, integrated into our award winning Transport Management System (TMS) myCCL.
We make it possible for you to help your customers tackle their own supply chain emissions. Use the dashboard to give them a personalised carbon statement and then work with them to identify ways to reduce their emissions through changing customer behaviour or altering order patterns.
Greener Routes carbon tracking solution is accredited by Smart Freight Centre, providing confirmation that the methodology we’ve developed to calculate the CO2e of your supply chain movements is in accordance with the GLEC framework.
This gives you the assurance that Greener Routes can reliably calculate and report the Scope 3 GHG emissions associated with your freight transportation and logistics when you put your order data through myCCL.
GLEC approval is a programme set up by the Smart Freight Centre with the aim of harmonising the calculation and reporting of logistics GHG emissions globally.
